My name is Katarzyna and I am Polish. I am currently studying MSc Banking & International Finance at Cass Business School. Prior to Cass, I received a degree in Political Science from University of Maria Curie Sklodowska in Poland.

Cass Business School provides a multicultural experience and I have always wanted to study abroad at an internationally recognised business school. London is the world’s most important business and financial centre, and therefore it provides an ideal environment in which to live and study. There are many opportunities in London but if you really want to excel Cass Business School provides the foundation for the way forward.

The course has given me the fundamental understanding of finance and markets, which has enabled me to embark on my career. The practical oriented approach of the course provided me with an extra depth of understanding when theories break down and adjustments are required. In an increasingly competitive environment, the strength of one’s skills is crucial. Thus I believe it is extremely important to have an excellent educational background which gives one a competitive advantage in the global employment market.

I feel that the knowledge I gained during my MSc course at Cass Business School added immensely to my previous experience. I can now perceive so many opportunities for a career and more importantly, I feel that I have the confidence to decide on which opportunities to seize. I would like to work in an investment bank back in Poland where I can apply my international knowledge and experience.

The Stelios scholarship has enabled me to achieve one of my biggest goals. Because I was given a chance to study at Cass Business School, I would like to make sure that the opportunities provided to me by the scholarship are put to best use and also that I can apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the course on a daily basis in my professional career. I know that I am extremely fortunate to be selected for this programme and I will endeavour to promote the ideas and values of being a philanthropist throughout my life.
