My name is Kiiment Toshev and I was born in Bulgaria.  I am currently studying towards an MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance at Cass Business School. Prior to this I graduated from London Metropolitan University, obtaining a degree in BA Business Economics and Finance.

Having been born in Bulgaria, it was always my ambition to come to the UK in order to pursue my higher education. In particular, it was a long standing goal to come to London and study a financial related subject, due to the city’s unrivalled reputation for educating participants in this field.

Living and studying in London helped me to interact with people from different backgrounds and interests. Throughout conversations and university studies my interest in financial markets deepened and I was persuaded to join CASS, because of its worldwide reputation of high standards and the future career prospects that it offers. The course offers a perfect mix of theoretical and practical, hands-on approach to the complexities of the financial world.

My career aspiration is to become a FX trader for a leading financial institution.

I have always admired the convictions and dedication to noble causes which Winston Churchill displayed. I once read of speech that he gave to a class of school boys, and his advice has always remained with me:

I would like to ask Stelios: Has there ever been a situation in your business life when it appeared that you may fail in your goal but you managed to clinch victory from the jaws of defeat? Furthermore, how did you manage to keep yourself motivated in the face of such adversity?
