My name is Nadir and I am originally of Arab/Asian origin. I am a currently studying MSc Finance at Cass.
I am originally of Arab/Asian origin. I migrated to the UK in 2000. I completed my Bachelors degree in Economics at the University of Westminster in 2007 with a First Class honours, as well as winning the award for top student in the course. I then had a Gap year, in which I travelled across North America, Europe and also worked part-time in Dubai. I am currently hoping to graduate and start on career as an investment banker with Ahli Bank of Oman.
I decided on a postgraduate degree so as to enhance my skills in an increasingly competitive financial world in which I seek to pursue a career. I realised that a masters in finance at Cass would provide me with the necessary skills to succeed in the financial sector, but also the privilege of having graduated in one of top business skills in the UK would present me with a unique opportunity to distinguish myself from other graduates. Cass’s central location in the heart of London alongside some of the world’s respected banks and law firms give it a strategic location and its top class professors and practitioner lecturers offer an exceptional standard of teaching and learning experience. I feel privileged to have been selected to study at Cass Business School. Their alumnus consists of some of world’s respected CEO’s and leaders of various multinational organisations.
I would like to begin my career as an investment banker, but essentially I would like to run my own private investment firm. I am currently experimenting with investing in the stock market, and recent gains on my portfolio have excited me into pursuing the ambitions of running my own investment firm.
I would like to thank Mr. Stelios for his support and generosity. It is the actions of people such as Mr. Stelios that help make the world a better place. Sponsoring students that may not necessarily be privileged enough to afford a top business school is an act of extreme generosity, and I would like to pledge that post-graduation, and in the fullness of time, I would like to offer the same privilege to other students in need of the same opportunity as I was presented with by Mr. Stelios.
Through giving back, not only a sense and feeling of doing good is created within oneself, but the impact that it has on other peoples lives can be exponential in the sense, it can present an opportunity that might have been non-existent to a talented individual, who will then eventually use the opportunity having been sponsored, to make a positive difference in society that may not have been realised should the opportunity not have been there in the first place.
