My name is Dominik and I am Polish. I am currently a student at LSE doing a BSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics.
Since I joined the LSE, I have become passionate about both Economics and Finance. Going forward, I would like to pursue a career in financial services. My professional experiences so far include: an intern at a global macro hedge fund, a research analyst at a fund of hedge funds, and a research assistantship at the LSE Financial Markets Group.
I have always tried to help my fellow students with their career endeavours and academic challenges. To foster the understanding of finance among fellow students around the world, I have worked as a Co-Chairman of the LSE Alternative Investments Conference, world’s largest student conference on private equity and hedge funds.
Thanks to the Stelios Scholarship, I have been enabled to study at a world-class social sciences university. This has inspired my interests in Economics and Financial Markets . I cannot emphasize enough how vital the Scholarship was to my personal development.
I would ask Stelios 'What are the most important qualities that allow one to set up a successful business?'. I would ask Stelios to ask me 'How would you justify your involvement in financial services given the criticism the industry has recently faced?'
