My name is Yvonne and I graduated summer 2009 from LSE in BSc Economics. I have lived in London for most of my life, having moved from Hong Kong as a young child. During my time at LSE, I completed internships at the Bank of England and BNP Paribas.
I chose to study Economics because I wanted to understand more of what was being discussed in the news. It is something that affects everyone, as we have seen particularly in the last couple of years. LSE is one of the world’s leading universities in the field and it has been a very exciting experience.
My dream is to travel the world one day, and to set up my own business… Just need a great idea!
As part of my way of ‘giving back’, I would like to work with children who have not been as fortunate as me, perhaps mentoring them.
As a Stelios Scholar, I have been incredibly lucky to be able to go to university without the financial worries that burden the typical student. It has been a pleasure to have met people from many different backgrounds and cultures at LSE. I have made great friends among the other Scholars and I am very grateful for the opportunity that I have been given.
