Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou rewards for the 4th year the bi-communal entrepreneurship with the Stelios Award for Business Co-operation in Cyprus 2012. In a crowded room at the ''House of Co-operation'' in Nicosia's buffer zone (green line), Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot entrepreneurs exchanged views for common business activities in Cyprus. Entrepreneurs, who showed interest in participating in the competition of Entrepreneurship Awards of Bi-communal Co-operation 2012, were informed by the Executive Director of the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, Mrs. Marie-Louise Bang, about the goals of the institution, the criteria of the participation and that they can submit their application by the end of April. The get-together meeting of Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot entrepreneurs was honoured by the presence of the Mayor of Nicosia, Mr. Constantinos Yiorkadjis, the British High Commissioner, Mr. Matthew Kidd, officials and representatives of business organisations. The Mayor of Nicosia, Mr. Constantinos Yiorkadjis congratulated Stelios Haji-Ioannou for his initiative stressing out that he supports the institution and he is ready to offer all possible assistance for its expansion. Past winners of the Stelios Award talked about their experiences and expressed their gratitude to Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou for his support which contributes to the expansion of the bi-communal business co-operation. At the Award ceremony, the five winning teams will be awarded by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou himself with the amount of 50,000 Euros each.
