My name is Mikesh and I graduated from LSE in 2009 with a BSc in Economics.

I am a British born Indian living in South Manchester with my father. I studied at Manchester Grammar School before coming to LSE. In secondary school and university I have tried to balance my education with a range of extracurricular activities; organising cultural events, captaining the school badminton team and entering business competitions.

My initial interest in Economics came from reading Game Theory Economics and the Prisoner’s Dilemma. I became interested as a result in understanding the psychology behind human social interaction and its subsequent impact on trade and markets.   

After graduating at the end of this academic year I will be starting a job with NM Rothschilds in Mergers and Acquisitions advisory. 

Since childhood I have witnessed the difficulties that have tested the loved ones around me. As a result I have learnt that life is short and that the only way to enjoy it is to imagine every moment as if it were your last. I do not claim to be able to single-handedly change the state of the world and remove the difficulties we face instead I only hope my enthusiasm to live and let live rubs off onto the next person.
