Vyacheslav Polonski, LSE 3rd year Stelios Scholar wins Future Business Leader of the Year Award at the national TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year 2012 Awards event, which took place at Canary Wharf, London on Friday 13 April. undergraduateoftheyear.com The award was sponsored by Mars and, through a series of online tests, application forms, interviews and assessment exercises, Vyacheslav emerged as the national winner, beating over 300 other entrants in his category. His prize is a summer placement with Mars and a trip to Brazil to visit Mars's Cocoa Research Centre. He received the award from Amanda Davies and the Rt Hon Michael Portillo in recognition of his leadership qualities and a track record of personal and professional achievements. Vyacheslav said: "I am absolutely honoured and excited. This award is a great privilege and at the same time a stimulus to go further, broaden my horizons and create lasting positive impact. I am ecstatic to go to Brazil and carry out my placement with Mars. I would like to thank both Mars and TARGETjobs for this prestigious award and hope I will live up to the expectations that it will bring."
