In late 2008, Stelios supported efforts to repair the forests of the Pendeli mountain foothills, damaged by widespread fires earlier in the year. His more than 50,000EU contribution was used by the Pendeli Reforestation Campaign to purchased a crucial watering truck (baptized Kypros) and fund a two year watering effort necessary to helping replanted saplings take root. |
