Stelios Scholars cohort 2010/11 at Cass Business School graduated with flying colours! We managed to grab six of them in their gowns at the Barbican inbetween ceremonies on 24 April 2012. Many congratulations to you all, we are very proud of you!

A big thank you to all our current LSE Stelios Scholars who attended the annual LSE Scholars & Donors reception on 14 March 2012. As one of the evening's speakers, Manuel Stotz (a Stelios Scholar from our first cohort who graduated in 2008) spoke about what Stelios and his Scholarship has meant to him and the importance of giving back.

Three finalists named for 2011 Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs in the UK

Three outstanding entrepreneurs have been shortlisted for the 2011 Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs in the UK, a competition run by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and the charity Leonard Cheshire Disability.
The disabled entrepreneurs - Ben Wolfenden, Rob Smith and Huw Thomas - saw off tough competition to make it to the final three of the prestigious award, which has been running for five years and recognises the achievements and unique challenges faced by disabled entrepreneurs.

This unique and prestigious Award is being sponsored by Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the serial entrepreneur best known for founding easyJet. The creation of the Award was motivated by Stelios’ goal of not only supporting disabled entrepreneurs, but also raising awareness of the skills and inventiveness of those with disabilities. We are now in the fifth year of the Award, which was launched in 2007. We are working in partnership with Leonard Cheshire Disability to find the winning disabled entrepreneur, who will be awarded a £50,000 prize to fund the further growth of their business. The two runners-up will also receive a prize of £1,000 each. The Award is a pan-disability award, please see the 'Further Information' tab for eligibility.

Outstanding results by this year’s LSE Stelios Scholar graduates! Many congratulations to our 2007 – 2011 cohort who attended their graduation on 14 & 15 July this year.
